Umoore Talibaat (Student Affairs) Department

“It is the duty of every Muslim man and every Muslim woman to acquire knowledge.” (Hadith, Ibne Majah)

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Umoore Talibaat department is intended to encourage the pursuit of education among members of Lajna Ima’illah. The Umoore Talibaat department aims to support students along their educational path with Islamic wisdom and guidance. Integral to achieving the Umoore Talibaat department’s goal is the establishment of Ahmadiyya Muslim Student Association for Women (AMSAW) chapters at colleges and universities across the nation. AMSAW chapters will foster sisterhood and camaraderie among Lajna members attending the same school and provide an avenue for tabligh. In particular, the Umoore Talibaat department seeks to encourage Lajna members to pursue research interests as emphasized by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) in his Friday Sermon of December 19, 2008: “I have been saying to Ahmadi students for a few years now that they should come forward in the fields of all kinds of research.”
