East Midwest Region

East Midwest Region of Lajna Ima'illah USA consists of seven local Majalis. The Region had the opportunity to organize many National, Regional and Local events. East Midwest Region had the honor to host the Majlis-e-Shura of Lajna Ima'illah USA in 2008, in Columbus, OH, 2009 and 2012 Majlis-e-Shura in Detroit, MI,  Ma Saha’ Allah.

Individual efforts, events and highlights of all Majalis will be posted on this page.

 The Region consists of the following Majalis:

1. OH-Cleveland 2. OH-Columbus
3. OH-Dayton 4. IN-Indiana
5. PA-Pittsburgh 6. MI-Detroit

 

What's New In The Region?

National Midwest Lajna/Nasirat Ijtema 2012

The National Midwest Ijtema on CHOOSE ISLAM WHEN CULTURE DISAGREES” took place at Bait-ul-Jaamay Mosque in Glen Ellyn, IL, on September 14th to 16th. Respected National Sadr Lajna Ima’illah USA, Saliha Malik, presided over the event with five National officers and all three Regional Sadran. The Overall attendance was very good with and 205 members on Friday, 355 on Saturday, and 283 on Sunday. Alhamdolillah, 16 Majalis from all Midwest regions participated, East Midwest, South Midwest, and West Midwest. It was a great succsees! [Read more]

 

Detroit Lajna “ Muslims For Life” Campaign Report

The Detroit Chapter President called for the auxiliaries to volunteer to support 10 planned events to collect blood with the American Red Cross. The Lajna was especially acknowledged by the organizing committee and Detroit President Dr. Mansoor Qureshi Sahib for contributing the largest group of volunteers consistently across all blood drive locations. Pittsburgh Lajna brings “Essence of Islam” on Community TV Channel
 

Pittsburgh Lajna was blessed with the opportunity to record programs for Pittsburgh Community TV in PA. The programs are in format of discussion/ information sharing, under the title “essence of Islam”. Three programs of half an hour duration have been recorded so far in the studios of TV Channel, two of which have been on air so far. Each program has been shown by the channel more than once at different times/days.  [Read more]
