Recitation of Kalima and Holy Quran Chapter Al-Zumar 39:62-63
And Allah will deliver the righteous and lead them to a place of security and success; evil shall not touch them, nor shall they grieve. Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is Guardian over all things.
We are now toward the end of our Lajna Mentoring Conference: It has been a pleasure and honor to have shared this time with you.
When an Ahmadi Muslim has the added responsibility of holding an office, then he or she must be conscious of his/her duties at a much higher level. In this regard, Huzoor (aba) specifically addressed the Lajna drawing their attention towards the observance of Purdah…
He said, officeholders, whether at a halqa level or a national level, should observe the highest standards of purdah and their attitudes should be in line with the Holy Quran so that they become models for other Lajna members and children. (September 30, 2011).
From our lajna constitution: “The Promised Messiah a.s. stated; If possible, one should serve their faith. How fortunate, is that individual who spends his time and energy, all his faculties, his life and wealth, all for the service of God’s faith (Malfoozat Vol.3 pg. 11 ed2003)”.
Our national program, inshaAllah, will allow us to serve our faith. In its continuation of “My Place in Islam” with certainty of faith. Our Taleem studies, improving our tarbiyyat, and working on the various shoba/departments will prepare us for daily life engagements and interactions as an Ahmadi Muslim. The previous year was filled with trials from inclement weather conditions, Coronavirus pandemic, racial tensions, social unrest, and our personal trials. These were a test of our faith and steadfastness in Islam. And we rouse to heights that is typical of an Ahmadi Muslim: we kept our members informed, safe, and maintained a steady course through the turbulence. This year there is no individual majlis to be awarded for the best in a shoba or activity. This year is a recognition of appreciation for your collective work.
You worked on making face coverings to protect humanity from the pandemic, you adjusted the national program to meet the needs of our members and thus held meetings on dealing with race relations, Supremacy of Justice; meetings were transitioned to virtual to stay connected while sheltering in place; you checked on Ahmadi sisters, feed humanity through food banks, the local jamaat and Humanity First.
The National Amila and Regional Sadraat were also our helpers and I appreciate their support, patience, and hard work. We held national meetings with congresswomen, held an empowerment conference and lead a voters registration campaign and some of you for the first time voted in the presidential elections. And then with the toll of the pandemic on our family lives and economic system; you came forward to make financial sacrifices, the biggest was for the construction of the Zion mosque in commemoration of the Promised Messiah a.s. mission. We exceeded our goal of 1.2 million dollars and thus far raised 1.6 million plus dollars, Alhumdulillah.
However, the mission of the Promised Messiah a.s. is not yet accomplished. This month at the jamaat levels we are commemorating the advent of the Promise Messiah a.s. and his mission. Huzoor aba said in his Friday kutba, March 26, 2021: The Promised Messiah a.s. came to reestablish and strengthen our faith. That a few days ago it was 23rd March, and this day is important to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community as it was on this day that the Community was established.
Huzoor(aba) said that every year we should remind ourselves of the purpose of the advent of the Promised Messiah(as), that is to revive the teachings of Islam and to present these to the world. Each and every Ahmadi, must strive to partake in the blessings of this mission. His Holiness(aba) said that in-order to do so we must first and foremost reform ourselves.
My dear sisters, I hope and pray that working together through our national program keeps us focused on this mission to reform ourselves and propagate the message of Islam.
Last year was a year that we worked together in one accord like never before. We demonstrated our certainty of faith and kept our place firmly in Islam, listening to our Khalifa and those he placed in authority to lead us. Now we have entered a new calendar year and soon into the month of Ramadan. Let us pray for our sisters and brothers being persecuted while we are in the comforts of freedom of speech and religion. Let us pray for those who have passed on into the next life; May Allah grant them a good station in jannah. Let us pray for our children, who may not yet see their purpose as Ahmadi Muslims but will one day, inshaAllah, pick up the banner and lead the way. Let us continue to pray for each other that we are a source of strength for jamaat Ahmadiyyat and a good role model of what handmaidens of Allah should be. And in closing from the words of our Khalifa:

May Allah help us, grant us ease after hardship and guide us in the straight path. Ameen.
